Scarisoara
Cave
Location: in the proximity of Upper Garda, Alba
County.
Description:
The cave is a natural protected monument. The cave is famous
due to the presence of a 3000 years old glacier which covers
an aria of 5500 square meters and a volume of 55000 cubic
meters. The ice sheet can reach in some spots about 20 m.
The shallow-hole from the entrance is 50 m deep and 57 m in
diameter.
The cave presents calcareous concretions and also icy stalagmites.
